The first event of 2012-2013

The Environmental Politics group has an exciting schedule for the coming year, welcoming notable speakers from within and outside of the university. The first session is Friday 26th of October, with a reading designed to warm us up for Professor Matthew Paterson’s visit on the 2nd of November.

26th October: Reading Paterson. 1-2 Meetings room.

On the 2nd of November Professor Matthew Paterson will be our visiting speaker. In preparation for his visit, the first session of the Environmental Politics group will read a chapter from his book written with Peter Newell (2010) Climate capitalism: global warming and the transformation of the global economy. We will be reading chapter 10: ‘What futures for climate capitalism?’

It is a great privilege to welcome Professor Paterson to the department and this session will provide us with an opportunity to familiarise ourselves with his work and raise questions we can put to the author himself.

Please email for a copy of the reading and to join our mailing list.

For the full schedule see the events page.
