Cinema event – film on environmental activism and panel discussion

The following film is being shown at the Arts Centre cinema tonight, tomorrow, and next wednesday and thursday. Tomorrow evening (Saturday 27 August) there will be a post-show panel discussion led by representatives from the Centre for Alternative Technology on ‘The Future of Energy in Wales’. Hope to see some of you there at what is sure to be a congregation of mid-Wales’ environmental activists!

Just Do It: A Tale of Modern Day Outlaws

Emily James, UK 2011, 90 mins

Environmental direct action is a fascinating world. With unprecedented access, Emily James spent over a year embedded in activist groups such as Climate Camp and Plane Stupid, introducing a powerful cast of mischievous and inspiring characters who superglue themselves to bank trading floors, blockade factories and attack coal power stations en-masse.
